Medicine is often defined as the science of preventing and treating disease.

To me, it is also an art.

Yes, my work is grounded in science and evidence-based care, but its true power lies in how it is practiced: the listening, the observing, the human connection, and the creativity involved in helping someone return to balance.

At Restoring Roots, medicine is practiced with intention, curiosity, and respect for the whole person.

I view disease as dis-ease — the body’s way of signaling that something is out of alignment.

Sometimes that imbalance is physical.

Sometimes emotional.

Often, it is both.

Healing is not just about naming a diagnosis or chasing symptoms. It is about restoring ease where there has been dis-ease.

My role is not to override your body — but to listen deeply and help guide it back to equilibrium.

What Is Classical Medicine?

Classical Medicine is a blend of modern Western medical care and time-honored healing traditions.

It honors:

  • Scientific evidence and diagnostic testing

  • Medical treatments and prescription therapies when appropriate

  • The wisdom of herbal medicine, nutrition, and lifestyle

  • The understanding that the body, mind, and emotions are deeply connected

This approach allows for both precision and intuition — structure and creativity — science and humanity.

A Personalized, Medical Approach to Care

Care at Restoring Roots may include:

  • Comprehensive medical evaluations

  • Lab-guided treatment plans

  • Prescription medications, hormones, or peptide therapies when appropriate

  • Herbal medicine and custom tinctures

  • Nutrition, sleep, stress, and lifestyle support

Each plan is tailored to you — your history, your goals, and how your body responds over time.

There is no one-size-fits-all protocol here.

My Role in Your Healing

I do not pretend to have all the answers.

I see my role as a practitioner who truly listens — not only to what you say, but to the subtle cues in your body and your story.

Using that insight, along with lab work and evidence-based medicine, I help create a framework for health that fits you — not the other way around.

Sometimes that work happens inside the appointment- and sometimes it happens afterward, as I research and refine options aligned with your needs.

Evidence-based medicine is always my preference.

That said, medicine is evolving. With newer therapies such as peptide treatments or hormone optimization, current literature may be limited — and continually improving.

I commit to using the best information available at the time, with transparency, discernment, and care.

Restoring Roots includes an in-house apothecary where custom tinctures are thoughtfully prepared.

All herbs are grown at my home and formulated with intention — honoring both traditional herbalism and modern understanding.

This is medicine made slowly, carefully, and with respect.

A small but meaningful part of Restoring Roots is rooted quite literally at home.

Fresh eggs and medicinal herbs are grown and gathered with care, then used or shared in alignment with the clinic’s apothecary and philosophy of whole-person care.

This is a quiet return to simplicity — knowing where things come from, how they’re grown, and honoring the role that nourishment plays in healing.
